INEOS Hygienics Review: Everyday Essentials Worth Trying?

INEOS Hygienics is a fairly new brand to me. Since I first noticed it on the supermarket shelves a few months ago, I’ve seen the range grow rapidly. Every time I pop into ASDA or Sainsbury’s, it feels like there’s something new to spot with the INEOS label. But who exactly is INEOS, and where did this brand suddenly come from?

Who are INEOS?

INEOS Hygienics was launched in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, when there was a worldwide shortage of hand sanitiser. The company quickly pivoted its resources to produce high-quality sanitiser at scale, setting up manufacturing sites across Europe to meet urgent demand.

INEOS itself is part of a much bigger picture – the wider INEOS Group is one of the largest chemical companies in the world, with expertise in science, technology and manufacturing. The Hygienics brand is their step into everyday consumer goods, with a focus on:

  • Scientific innovation – they emphasise patented technologies and performance-led formulas.
  • Sustainability – aiming for recyclable packaging and reduced environmental impact.
  • Everyday performance – practical products designed to deliver for everyday households

Where to Buy INEOS Products

At the moment, INEOS Hygienics products are fairly widely available. You can find them in:

  • Supermarkets – Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and ASDA.
  • Pharmacies & online – Boots, Amazon and Ocado.

Prices tend to sit comfortably in the affordable mid-range, often competing with brands like Carex, Method and Dove.

What’s in the Range?

The INEOS Hygienics line covers a surprisingly broad mix of personal care and household products. Among the range you’ll find:

  • Hand sanitiser
  • Antibacterial hand wash and wipes
  • Shower gel and deodorant
  • Washing up liquid
  • Multi-surface cleaners and sprays
  • Laundry detergents (already award-winning)

It’s a pretty comprehensive range and seems to be ever-expanding. I haven’t tested everything yet, but I’ve made a good start and will share the reviews below in case there is something you might like to try.

Tried and Tested: Everyday Products from INEOS

Body Wash – Mandarin & Sandalwood

  • Price paid: £3.00 (300ml)
  • Claims: 24-hour freshness, plant-powered formula, cooling technology, moisturising

The scent is pleasant and subtle, leaning more towards fresh than sweet. Personally, I tend to prefer floral or fruity scents in a body wash, but this one still felt refreshing without being overpowering.

The texture was nourishing, leaving no irritation or dryness, which is always a plus. One slightly odd detail: the label highlights “gender neutral” as a selling point. Personally, I don’t feel this needs to be stated as people will pick what they like regardless of their gender – it just confused me a bit.

As for the “odour and sweat control”, I didn’t notice anything dramatically different from other good body washes. Still, I’d happily repurchase, but next time I’d choose a different fragrance for variety.

Multi Room Cleaner – Rhubarb & Pomegranate / Bergamot & Cedarwood

  • Price paid: £3.50 (750ml) Each
  • Fragrances tried: Rhubarb & Pomegranate (favourite), Bergamot & Cedarwood (good for bathrooms)

The Rhubarb & Pomegranate was a joy to use – it made cleaning feel almost indulgent! It left surfaces sparkling and the smell lingered nicely. I’ll definitely repurchase as soon as I can.

The Bergamot & Cedarwood variant worked just as well but felt a bit too strong and “masculine” for my taste, so I kept that for bathroom use rather than in the kitchen and will not repurchase in this fragrance.

Apparently, other fragrances are available too, including Sicilian Lemon & Cypress, Sea Minerals & Wild Jasmine, and Pomelo & Yuzu – I will definitely be keeping an eye out for those.

Moisturising Hand Wash – Rhubarb & Tonka / White Rose & Neroli

  • Price paid: £2.00 (500ml) Each
  • Standout features: blend of 4 moisturisers, infused with phytoncides (plant-based antibacterial molecules)

Both scents were lovely and felt far more premium than the price suggests. If I had to pick one it would be the rose – it’s gorgeous. The Hand wash formula is genuinely moisturising, and my hands didn’t dry out even after the constant washing that goes on in our house with the children and pets.

The packaging highlights the science angle, with “phytoncides” designed to help inhibit bacterial growth. Whether or not that makes a measurable difference at home, it does give the sense of thoughtful formulation rather than “just another hand wash”.

This is a definite repurchase for me – I found it more moisturising than Molton Brown, for instance and at a fraction of the price. Much as I like a fancy bottle of hand wash on display, I also feel a bit aggrieved that this is money literally washed down the drain.

Final Verdict: Are INEOS Products Worth Buying?

Based on what I’ve tried so far, I can confidently recommend INEOS Hygienics. The products feel well-made, effective, and priced sensibly for everyday use.

Highlights for me were the Rhubarb & Pomegranate Multi Room Cleaner and the Moisturising Hand Washes, both of which I’ll be rebuying. The Body Wash was nice, but I will be exploring other scents before deciding if it’s a regular staple. I am going to consider trying out their laundry detergent next, as it gets good reviews and has won an award from the Independent recently.

If you’re looking for good-quality, affordable household and personal care products with a scientific edge, INEOS is well worth a spot in your trolley.
