Nature Spell Review: Are These Viral Haircare Products Worth It?

Introduction

Nature Spell is one of those brands that kept popping up on my TikTok feed until eventually I caved and made a purchase. If you spend any time scrolling beauty TikTok you’ve probably seen it too – hair oils, botanical shampoos, and bold claims about growth and repair.

But is Nature Spell actually good… or is it just another viral brand riding the social media hype train?

After trying quite a few of their products over the past few months, I can honestly say I’ve been pleasantly surprised. In fact, several items have become staples in my routine.

Nature Spell focuses heavily on oils and botanicals designed to support hair and skin health. All products are vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the UK, which is always a plus.

My first order was through TikTok Shop, but I’ve since ordered directly from their website. One thing I have noticed is that they are generous with promotions and free gifts. At the time of writing, orders over £25 qualify for free priority delivery My order arrived within 48 hours using this benefit.

In my most recent order, I managed to get quite a decent haul for £25. Considering the size of the products and the delivery speed, that felt like excellent value.

  • Growth Complex Shampoo (300ml)
  • Growth Complex Conditioner (300ml)
  • Precision Hair Oil Applicator Comb
  • Tone & Tighten Body Wash (320ml)
  • Aloe Vera Gel (200ml)
Recent Nature Spell Order

From previous orders I had also tried:

  • Grow Strong Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Authentic Jamaican Black Castor Oil with Rosemary
  • Flexiflow Detangler Brush

Overall, my impression of Nature Spell so far is that the price point is very reasonable and several of the products genuinely perform well. Definitely Frugal Kitty approved.

For reference, my scalp tends to be dry and itchy and my hair is quite fine with a tendency to become fluffy and flyaway (lucky me). I also wash my hair daily, which means I quickly notice whether products are helping or harming the condition of my hair.

All prices were correct at the time of posting.

Who Are Nature Spell?

Nature Spell is a UK-based beauty brand that focuses on botanical hair and skincare formulations. Their products typically combine plant oils, herbal extracts and modern cosmetic ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, amino acids and vitamins.

A large part of their popularity has come from TikTok and influencer marketing, particularly around their hair oils and growth-focused formulas.

Their main selling points include:

  • Vegan formulations
  • Cruelty-free products
  • UK manufacturing
  • Botanical oils and Ayurvedic-inspired ingredients
  • Competitive pricing compared with salon brands

The brand leans heavily into the idea of “nature-powered” beauty, although like most modern cosmetic brands, their formulas blend natural extracts with lab-developed ingredients designed to improve performance and stability.

Where to Buy Nature Spell

Nature Spell products are widely available online.

You can buy them from:

  • The official Nature Spell website
  • TikTok Shop
  • Amazon
  • Holland & Barrett

From my experience, ordering directly from their website tends to give the best value thanks to bundle deals and free gifts as well as access to the complete range of products.

Typical prices are very reasonable:

  • Shampoo & conditioner duos: around £14
  • Hair oils: around £9
  • Hair tools: around £9
  • Body care products: £6–£8

Considering most bottles are around 300ml, the price per use works out extremely affordable compared with many salon haircare brands.

What’s in the Nature Spell Range?

Nature Spell’s range covers haircare, oils, body care and a few beauty tools.

Some of their most popular product categories include:

Haircare

  • Bond repair shampoos and conditioners
  • Growth-focused formulas with herbal extracts
  • Sulphate-free and salt-free options

Hair oils

  • Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  • Rosemary oil blends
  • Batana oil
  • Argan oil
  • Coconut oil

Body care

  • Aloe vera gel
  • Body washes
  • Skin oils

Hair tools

  • Detangling brushes
  • Oil applicator combs

The brand heavily promotes oils traditionally used in Ayurvedic and natural haircare routines, such as:

  • Amla (Indian gooseberry thought to promote hair growth and strength)
  • Bhringraj (Ayurevdic herb thought to promote hair growth)
  • Ashwagandha (thoughts to promote hair growth and thickness)
  • Castor oil (contains nourishing fatty acids)
  • Rosemary oil (may stimulate hair growth and help circulation to the scalp)

These ingredients have long histories in haircare traditions, although modern scientific evidence on hair growth claims is mixed. Many of them can improve scalp condition and hair strength, which indirectly supports healthier growth.

Growth Complex Hair Duo
Grow Strong Hair Duo

Tried and Tested: My Thoughts After Use

Bond Repair Salt Free Shampoo & Conditioner

Price: £14 for the duo (300ml each)

These are formulated with:

  • Arginine
  • Vegan keratin
  • Hyaluronic acid

The formula is also free from:

  • Sulphates
  • Parabens
  • Silicones
  • SLS

The goal of this range is to repair and strengthen damaged hair while keeping it hydrated. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It has a really fresh floral fragrance that lingers subtly on the hair without being overpowering.

In terms of performance, I genuinely noticed a difference. My hair felt:

  • Softer
  • Smoother
  • Shinier
  • Easier to manage

Because I wash my hair daily, I’m quite sensitive to shampoos that leave hair feeling stripped or dry. This one didn’t do that at all.

The only negative is the packaging. The bottles are made from quite firm plastic which makes them difficult to squeeze once they’re half empty. I ended up storing them upside down and unscrewing the cap to pour out the product instead. You can see in the photo they ended up quite squished.

That aside, this is absolutely a repurchase for me. I love the scent and the softness and shine it gives my hair.

Growth Complex Salt Free Shampoo & Conditioner

Price: £14 for the duo (300ml each)

This set focuses on hair growth and strengthening using Ayurvedic-inspired ingredients including:

  • Ashwagandha
  • Bhringraj
  • Amla
  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Vitamin B5

The idea behind these ingredients is to support scalp health and strengthen hair strands.

I’ve been using this for about four weeks. Realistically, that’s not long enough to determine whether it affects hair growth. Hair typically grows about 1cm per month, so meaningful results take time. However, what I did notice is that my hair looked shinier and had more volume after using this range.

The scent is more herbal than the Bond Repair range, I prefer the smell of the Bond Repair Duo but again, this is personal preference. The bottle is noticeably easier to squeeze, which fixes the packaging issue I mentioned earlier.

If I had to compare the two sets directly, I would say:

Bond Repair

  • Softer finish
  • More hydrating

Growth Complex

  • Slightly more volume
  • Slightly drier feel

Overall, I prefer the Bond Repair duo for my hair.

Authentic Jamaican Black Castor Oil With Rosemary

Price: £9 for 150ml

This product really impressed me.

Before trying it, I had already experimented with several rosemary scalp oils from other brands and honestly hadn’t noticed much difference. This blend combines rosemary oil with Jamaican black castor oil, which is naturally very thick and rich. The oil comes in a dark glass bottle, which helps protect the ingredients from light degradation.

The scent is surprisingly strong. Despite containing rosemary, it reminds me more of eucalyptus which I personally love. The oil itself is extremely thick and almost gloopy – very indulgent. It doesn’t absorb particularly well into skin, so I found it a bit messy to use as a body oil. Where it really stands out is as a hair treatment.

Despite its thickness it spreads well through the hair and scalp and, surprisingly, it washes out very easily. Some hair oils require multiple shampoos to remove, but this rinsed out cleanly with just one application of shampoo. I use it 1–2 nights per week as an overnight treatment and wash it out the next morning.

Since doing this my hair definitely feels:

  • Stronger
  • More conditioned
  • Less dry at the ends

I also like using a small amount on my cuticles.

This is easily the best overnight hair oil I’ve tried and a 100% repurchase.

Flexiflow Detangler Brush

Jamaican Castor Oil With Rosemary
Nature Spell Hair Brush

Price: £9 per Brush

This flexible detangling brush is designed to work on wet or dry hair and is suitable for all hair types including extensions.

It’s lightweight, waterproof and flexible enough to move with the hair while brushing.

I now use this as my main brush and actually prefer it to my Tangle Teezer.

Because my hair is fine, I’m always worried about breakage when brushing, but this feels very gentle. It glides through knots without pulling too aggressively.

Another bonus is that it washes really easily, which is helpful when I’ve used it to distribute oil treatments.

So far it also seems durable despite regular use.

Tone & Tighten Body Wash

Price: £7 for 320ml

This product makes quite bold claims.

According to the packaging it contains a “skin firming miracle blend” containing caffeine, plant collagen and ginseng. It also suggests it may help reduce the appearance of cellulite. I’ll be honest, I’m sceptical about these claims.

Body wash is typically only on the skin for a short period of time before being rinsed away. Because of that, most dermatologists agree that it’s unlikely to deliver significant firming or cellulite reduction. In terms of the basics, it’s perfectly nice to use. It has a pleasant floral scent that lingers lightly after showering.

However, I did find my skin felt slightly dry after using it compared to my usual shower gel (which at the moment is LUSH Snow Fairy or L’occitaine Almond Oil Shower Gel). At this stage, I’m not convinced it does anything particularly special.

I’ll continue using the bottle and update this review if my opinion changes, but right now it’s not something I would rush to repurchase but I am glad I tried.

Final Verdict: Are Nature Spell Products Worth It?

Overall, I’ve been really impressed with Nature Spell. I have yet to test the Aloe Vera Gel, but will update this post when I have done.

The products are affordable, the ingredient lists are interesting, and several items perform far better than their price point suggests.

My standout favourites are:

  • Bond Repair Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Jamaican Black Castor Oil with Rosemary

Both of these have earned a permanent place in my routine and are definite repurchases.

The body wash didn’t quite live up to its claims, but it was still perfectly nice, and I am glad I tried it. If you’re curious about the brand, their bundles and website offers make it a fairly low-risk way to try several products at once.

The next product on my wishlist is their Natural Batana Oil, which gets consistently strong reviews online for helping soften and strengthen dry or damaged hair.

If it’s anything like the castor oil, I have high hopes.
