Yes, without hesitation. Geek and Gorgeous has become one of my most trusted skincare brands for sensitive and rosacea-prone skin. The formulations are science-backed, fragrance-free, and genuinely effective at prices that won’t make your eyes water.

About the Brand

I first discovered Geek and Gorgeous about 18 months ago when their Jelly Joker cleanser was trending on social media. I was drawn in by the simple packaging, the scientifically backed ingredients, and the very reasonable price point. After cautiously trying a couple of products, I expanded my collection and several items have since become repeat purchases with noticeable benefits for my rosacea-prone skin.

The brand is 100% cruelty-free and uses no fragrances, colourants or unnecessary plant extracts, which matters enormously for sensitive skin types. Their range covers something for everyone, from sensitive to acne-prone skin, all at competitive prices.

Where to Buy Geek and Gorgeous

Geek and Gorgeous is a Hungarian brand. My initial purchase was directly from the Geek and Gorgeous website, although watch out for shipping costs to the UK. At the time of writing, there is free shipping to the UK with purchases over £45. I now buy mainly from Amazon and Justmylook, shopping around for the best price or a gift-with-purchase offer.

The good news is that availability is improving. Superdrug has recently started stocking the brand online at least. Prices listed below reflect what I paid in 2025 and may vary.

Geek and Gorgeous Cleanser Reviews

Jelly Joker Cleanser ~£8 / 150ml

Whilst not my all-time favourite cleanser, Jelly Joker is a really gentle product that won’t strip the skin or upset its barrier. It’s non-foaming, which is essential for me as anything that foams tends to be too harsh on my rosacea-prone skin.

It’s not the best option for removing waterproof makeup as it’s so gentle, so a double cleanse may be needed if you wear heavier makeup. That said, it’s a solid, reliable choice that gets consistently strong reviews and is unlikely to cause skin or eye irritation.

Verdict: A trustworthy, gentle everyday cleanser at a fair price. Worth trying especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin.

Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm ~£12 / 98ml

This is one of my absolute favourite products from the entire range. I love cleansing balms for how nourishing and soothing they feel, and the Mighty Melt is genuinely exceptional.

It has a semi-solid texture that melts almost instantly on contact with skin. It removes all makeup, including waterproof mascara, leaves skin smooth and comforted, and crucially, leaves no greasy residue, which can be a downside of some balm cleansers.

Verdict: Outstanding value. One of the best cleansing balms I’ve tried at any price point.

Geek and Gorgeous Moisturiser Reviews

Hydration Station and Happier Barrier ~£10 / 50ml each

Both moisturisers are excellent and I’m genuinely hard pressed to pick a favourite between them.

Hydration Station is a gel-cream containing Ectoin and Glycerin. It’s suitable for all skin types but particularly good for combination or oily skin. I use it during the day as it absorbs well and works seamlessly under serums and SPF.

Happier Barrier contains squalane and lipids, making it better suited to drier or more irritated skin. It has a slightly richer feel and Happy Barrier has the edge for my sensitive skin specifically.

I don’t use either at night as I prefer a face oil or heavier cream for my evening routine, but as daytime moisturisers both are hard to beat at this price point.

Verdict: Both are excellent. Combination or oily skin — choose Hydration Station. Dry or sensitive skin then perhaps choose Happy Barrier. You can’t really go wrong with either.

Geek and Gorgeous Serum Reviews

C-Glow Vitamin C Serum ~£12 / 30ml

This one requires a little backstory. I had completely given up on vitamin C products after repeated irritation from various formulations. I’d sworn off them entirely and then very quickly caved when I saw the reviews for C-Glow. You can read more about my difficult history with vitamin C in my Vitamin C skincare review here.

C-Glow is everything I had been searching for. It contains 15% vitamin C and Ferulic acid, is significantly more affordable than comparable products, and has caused zero irritation on my temperamental skin. I genuinely feel it makes my skin look fresher with a subtle but noticeable glow.

One quirky but reassuring detail is that it’s made fresh in weekly batches to preserve potency, and I store mine in the fridge as recommended to prolong the shel life.

Verdict: The best vitamin C serum I’ve found for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin. If you’ve given up on vitamin C, this is the one to try.

aPAD Azelaic Serum ~£10.50 / 30ml

aPAD is a 20% Azelaic derivative serum — technically Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate rather than pure azelaic acid, but effective for oily skin, inflammation and pigmentation. I have noticed a definite brightening effect using this regularly alongside fewer rosacea flare-ups.

I use it on alternate mornings to my vitamin C as I haven’t quite worked out whether the two can be layered safely together. It’s a product I’ll continue to use and repurchase.

Verdict: Noticeable results for brightening and rosacea management. Good value at the price point.

Stress Less Serum ~£10.50 / 30ml

This contains Beta-Glucan derived from oats and Madecassoside from Centella asiatica. It comes in a dropper bottle and is designed to soothe irritated or reactive skin. It’s a very light gel that absorbs without any stickiness.

I don’t use this daily but I reach for it when my rosacea is flaring up and it does provide noticeable soothing relief. It’s not a product I’d consider essential to my routine but it earns its place as a targeted treatment.

Verdict: Not a daily essential but genuinely useful for reactive skin days. I’m on the fence about repurchasing as I have other soothing products I prefer.

Products I Wouldn’t Repurchase

Power Peptides Serum ~£12 / 30ml

I had high hopes for this given my interest in peptides for collagen support — my crepey under-eye area has been bothering me and I was hoping for some improvement. Unfortunately I experienced mild irritation and didn’t notice any change after consistent use.

I wouldn’t let this deter you from trying it as it has numerous positive reviews online, and my skin is notoriously reactive. But it wasn’t the right product for me personally.

Liquid Hydration Spray

Nothing is technically wrong with this product, but I found it an unnecessary step in my routine that I never naturally reached for. It might be worth revisiting for holidays or hot weather when a refreshing hydration mist makes more sense, but as an everyday product, it didn’t win me over.

Final Verdict

Geek and Gorgeous has quickly become one of my most trusted skincare brands. The formulations are affordable, effective and genuinely gentle on sensitive skin, without unnecessary fillers, fragrance or allergens.

The standout products for me are the Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm, C-Glow Vitamin C, and the Happy Barrier Moisturiser, all of which are firm repurchases. Most of the range has earned a permanent spot in my routine, and I’m already watching for new launches.
